ABSTRACT:
A slots assignment method for a control channel signal in a mobile telecommunication system employing a time division multiple access/time division duplex (TDMA-TDD) system having a plurality of base stations each having at least one mobile station. Each of the base stations detects a control-channel signal transmitted from other base stations and a control-channel signal transmitted from the mobile station throughout a plurality of multiple frame periods, discriminates down-link control-channel slots from up-link control-channel slots being used by other base stations, selects, as optimum down-link control-channel slot candidates, ones of idle slots of idle slot blocks other than the down and up-link control-channel slots being used by other base stations with use of a predetermined evaluation function, and assigns one of the selected idle slots as a down-link control-channel slot of its own base station.
