ABSTRACT:
A dye-donor element for thermal dye transfer comprising a support having on one side thereof a dye layer and on the other side a slipping layer comprising an organic lubricating material in a binder, the lubricating material comprising a nonhomogenous layer of a particulate ester wax comprising an ester of a fatty acid having at least 10 carbon atoms and a monohydric alcohol having at least 6 carbon atoms, the ester wax having a particle size of from about 0.5 .mu.m to about 20 .mu.m.
