ABSTRACT:
In a sliding contact guide for a drive chain or other flexible transmission device, a guide body includes a shoe102and a slotted, plate-receiving portion102integrally molded on the back of the shoe. A reinforcing plate is inserted into the slot. The guide body has a mounting hole near one end for receiving a mounting shaft. The reinforcing plate, on the other hand, has an arcuate bearing portion which extends only part way around the mounting shaft.
