ABSTRACT:
A helically continuous projection1a is formed around a sliding surface1A of a sliding bearing1at a given pitchp. The surface roughnesshof the sliding surface1A, including the projection1a, is chosen to be equal to or less than one-half the height H of the projection. This provides a sliding bearing1which exhibits an improved running-in performance.
