There is disclosed a single-frit porcelain powder, suitable for use as a porcelain layer on metal-base dental restorations, and having a fired coefficient of thermal expansion within the range of from about 12 to about 14.times.10.sup.-6 in./in. .degree.C., wherein said single frit porcelain is of the following composition:
