ABSTRACT:
This invention relates to an improved simultaneous stereo retinal camera capable of generating repetitive images from different cameras and at different times for diagnostic purposes. A Helium Neon laser light source located integrally with the optics of the camera generates a fixation indicia for the left and right eye of the patient and a scaler indicia located in the field of view of the camera and printed on each stereo photograph. The patient fixates on either the left or right indicia which places the optic nerve in the field of view of the camera. The scaler indicia appearing on the photo provides the basis for generating a standardized 3-D photo regardless of the camera used.
