ABSTRACT:
Novel silanes having the formula (RSO.sub.3).sub.2 --Si--Q.sub.2.0.5HX are described. Synthesis of silylated bis-cyclopentadienyl and N-silylated mono(cyclopentadienyl) ligands and similar indenyl ligands utilizing the novel silanes is described.
