ABSTRACT:
A silver halide photographic material having on a support at least one hydrophilic colloid layer and at least one silver halide emulsion layer containing tabular silver halide grains having a grain diameter of at least 5 times the thickness of the grains and at least one compound represented by general formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents a methyl group and R.sup.2 represents an alkyl group, a substituted alkyl group, an aryl group, or a substituted aryl group.
