ABSTRACT:
A silver halide photographic material is described having a hydrophobic polymer layer which is not substantially swollen with processing solutions on one surface of a support and having at least one light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer on the other surface of the support, and the material has a hydrophilic colloid layer containing a dispersion of fine solid grains of a dye having an absorption peak wavelength of from 600 nm to 1200 nm between the support and the emulsion layer. The material is exposed with a near infrared ray. The drying property of the processed material is improved, and the material is hardly curled during storage under varying conditions.
