ABSTRACT:
A silver halide photographic material has at least one hydrophilic colloid layer containing a dispersion obtained by emulsifying and dispersing a solution containing at least one oil-soluble dye and at least one water-insoluble, organic solvent-soluble polymer having at least one repeating unit represented by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or a halogen atom; R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 may be the same or different and each represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group; L represents a bivalent bonding group; and n.sub.1 represents 0 or 1.
