ABSTRACT:
There is disclosed a silver halide photographic material which can satisfy the specific properties required for dot to dot work photographic materials and can be handled under an environment of a bright room. The silver halide photographic material comprises a support, having provided thereon at least one light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and having provided farther from the support than the emulsion layer a light-insensitive hydrophilic colloid layer. The light-insensitive hydrophilic colloid layer contains at least a solid dye which is dispersed in the form of fine particles and further may contain a water soluble dye. The silver halide grains contained in the light-sensitive emulsion layer have an average grain size of 0.15 .mu.m or less and contain therein at least 1.times.10.sup.-7 mole per mole of a silver of transition metal selected from the elements of groups V to VIII of the Periodic Table.
