ABSTRACT:
A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material contains at least one negative-working silver halide emulsion layer composed of substantially surface latent image type monodispersed silver halide grains. The emulsion layer or another hydrophilic colloidal layer contains a compound of general formula I or II: ##STR1## wherein each of R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 represents a hydrogen atom, or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or aryl group, and if one of R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 is a hydrogen atom, the other thereof is not a hydrogen atom. Disclosed also is a process which forms a photographic image by employing the material as described above, or a developer containing the compound as shown above.
