ABSTRACT:
A silver halide photographic light-sensitive element which comprises at least one silver halide emulsion layer and at least one hydrophilic colloid layer containing at least one dye represented by the following formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R represents a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic hydrocarbon group, an aromatic hydrocarbon group or an aralkyl group; X represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an aliphatic hydrocarbon group, an alkoxy group, an alkylthio group or a substituted amino group; L represents a methine group; M represents a cation; and p represents an integer of 1 to 3. The dyes are useful in antihalation and filter layers, and can be decolorized readily and completely.
