ABSTRACT:
A chemically sensitized silver halide photographic emulsion comprising silver halide grains, at least 70% of the projected surface area of all the silver halide grains being constituted by tabular grains having an aspect ration of at least 3, wherein at least 0.5 millimoles of a sensitizing dye and 0.5 to 5.0 millimoles of at least one silver halide adsorbing substance other than a sensitizing dye per mole of the silver halide are introduced in the emulsion preparation stage and are present during chemical sensization of the silver halide.
