ABSTRACT:
There is disclosed a silver halide color photographic material having at least one silver halide emulsion layer on a base, which comprises in the silver halide emulsion layer a magenta coupler represented by formula (I), which has been dispersed by using a chlorinated paraffin having 8 or more carbon atoms. The disclosure as described provides a color photographic material being excellent in color reproduction and having improved light-fastness of the magenta color image from the high density part to the low density part, even when the color photographic material is processed by the color developer contaminated by a small amount of bleaching solution formula (I): ##STR1## wherein Za and Zb each represent .dbd.CH--, ##STR2## or .dbd.N--, R.sub.1 represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent, R.sub.2 represents a substituent, X represents a hydrogen atom or a group or an atom capable of being released, and
