ABSTRACT:
There is disclosed a silver halide color photographic material having photosensitive layers and non-photosensitive layers adjacent to photosensitive layers on a base, which comprises a yellow dye-forming coupler selected from a group consisting of couplers represented by formulas (I), (II), and (III) and a compound represented by the following formula (IV): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents a monovalent group, Q represents a group of non-metallic atoms required to form together with the C a cyclic hydrocarbon group or a heterocyclic group that has a heteroatom of N, S, O, or P, and Y.sub.R represents a residue remaining after removing the acyl group ##STR2## from the coupler represented by formula (I), provided that R.sub.1 is not a hydrogen atom and does not bond to Q to form a ring, ##STR3## wherein X.sup.1, and X.sup.2 each represent an alkyl group, an aryl group, or a heterocyclic group, X.sup.3 represents an organic residue required to form a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic group together with the >N--, Y represents an aryl group or a heterocyclic group, and Z represents a coupling releasing group, ##STR4## wherein R.sub.41 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, an alkenyl group, or a heterocyclic group; R.sub.42 represents an alkyl group, an aryl group, an alkenyl group, or a heterocyclic group, and n is an integer of 0 to 4, provided that R.sub.41 and R.sub.42 may together form a 5- to 7-membered ring.
