ABSTRACT:
The present invention discloses a silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material which comprises a first support having thereon at least one photographic light-sensitive layer comprising a light-sensitive silver halide emulsion, a developing agent, a compound capable of forming a dye upon coupling reaction with an oxidation product of the developing agent, a binder, and a mercaptoazole compound, and a color image forming method comprising imagewise exposing the above-described silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material, supplying water to the light-sensitive material or a processing material comprising a second support having thereon a base or a base precursor, in an amount ranging from 1/10 to the equivalent of an amount which is required for the maximum swelling of the all coated layers of these materials, placing the light-sensitive material and the processing material face to face, and heating the materials at a temperature of 60.degree. to 100.degree. C. for a period of 5 to 60 seconds to form a color image. The present invention provides a light-sensitive material and a color image forming method characterized by high sensitivity and an insignificant fogging level.
