ABSTRACT:
A silver halide color photographic material is disclosed, comprising a support having thereon a silver halide emulsion layer containing silver halide grains having a variation coefficient of grain size of 20% or less and at least 50% of the total grain projected area is accounted for by tabular grains having an aspect ratio of 5 or more; and the silver halide grains having an average silver iodide content of 4 mol % or more and a distinct core/shell structure comprising a core portion having a silver iodide content of 15 mol % or less, a shell portion having a silver iodide content of 8 mol % or more, and a surface phase having a silver iodide content higher than the average silver iodide content.
