ABSTRACT:
A branched monoester represented by the formula R.sup.1 COOR.sup.2 acts as a silicone-dissolving or solubilizing agent. In the formula, R.sup.1 is an isoalkyl group having 4 to 17 carbon atoms, and R.sup.2 is an isoalkyl group having 3 to 18 carbon atoms.
