ABSTRACT:
A signal selection circuit capable of automatically selecting an input signal in a device having digital and analog input terminals for one and the same audio source device comprises a switch for connecting either the analog input terminal or the digital input terminal to a post stage circuit and a circuit for causing the switch to connect the analog input terminal to the post stage circuit when an analog input signal only has been applied and causing the switch to connect the digital input terminal to the post stage circuit when a digital input signal only has been applied or when an analog input signal and a digital input signal have been applied simultaneously to these terminals. A digital signal which is an input signal of higher quality is automatically selected when an analog signal and a digital signal are applied simultaneously and the listener has only to select a source device so that the operation he is required to perform is simplified.
