ABSTRACT:
A signal transmission system and method is provided in which analog signals are sampled quasi-randomly and the samples stored. The samples are thereafter retrieved with an equal interval between them and transmitted. At the receiver, the transmitted samples are stored, decoded and reconstituted with the original quasi-random sample interval therebetween. The transmission system and method permits the faithful capture and transmission of signals across bandwidth limited transmission systems even though such signals lie outside that bandwidth.
