ABSTRACT:
A sift-proof carton which precludes small particulate matter from within the carton escaping to the exterior of the carton includes an exterior major end panel having a length in excess of the major side panel from which it extends, with the excess length being at least partially compacted and folded against the exterior major end panel by a exterior minor end panel where the exterior minor end panel extends partially over the major end panels, thereby providing sift-resistance. The exterior minor end panel preferably has a width less than that of the carton.
