ABSTRACT:
A new class of synthetic triglycerides, those having at least one short-chain (C.sub.2 -C.sub.5) fatty acid on a glycerol backbone, has been developed. These synthetic triglycerides (or structured lipids) are particularly useful in treating patients with intestinal problems.
