ABSTRACT:
A change speed gear mechanism for a motorcycle is controlled by a shift drum mounted to turn. First and second cam plates are coaxially fixed to the shift drum and means are provided for turning the cam plates for moving the shift drum in either direction in equal angular increments between a high speed position and a low speed position, each angular increment being larger than the angular value calculated by dividing 360.degree. by the total number of gear ratios provided by the speed change gear mechanism.
