ABSTRACT:
In an automotive manual transmission comprising a plurality of shift forks each having at its extension a recess, a plurality of pivotting levers pivotable about a common axis, a first end of each pivotting lever being received in the recess of the corresponding shift fork extension to form an articulated connection therebetween so that upon rotation of one pivotting lever about the common axis, the corresponding shift fork is operatively moved to establish a certain gear ratio of the transmission, and means engageable with a second end of each pivotting lever for selecting one of the pivotting levers and pivotally moving the selected pivotting lever about the common axis, there is provided a wear-resistant cap member which is slidably and movably put on the first end of each pivotting lever while being accommodated in the recess of the corresponding shift fork extension.
