ABSTRACT:
In an electrophotographic printer using a continuous-form sheet on which a visible image, having been formed on a predetermined photoconductive material, is to be transferred by means of a transferring charger unit movable between an operating position, in which the transferring charger unit presses the continuous-form sheet being fed in a predetermined direction on the predetermined photoconductive material, and a retracting position in which the transferring charger unit is retracted from the operating position, for separating the continuous-form sheet from the predetermined photoconductive material when the transferring charger unit is located at the retracting position: the printer including a sheet separating mechanism comprising a rock member arranged to be supported by a shaft member located above the continuous-form sheet and mounted on the continuous-form sheet. Thus, the continuous-form sheet is downwardly tensioned by weight of the rock member and accurately separated from the photoconductive.
