ABSTRACT:
A sheet feeder for feeding a transfer sheet to a transfer region of an image forming machine such as a copier and a printer. The sheet feeder has a driving roller for driving a idle roller so that the transfer sheet is nipped between the driving roller and the idle roller, and conveyed to the transfer region; the idle roller for being rotated by the movement of the driving roller, in which a hardness of the idle roller is more than 0.degree. and not more than 60.degree. in Asuka C Scale; and a shutter for suspending and allowing the conveyance of the transfer sheet by opening and closing operations of the shutter. The driving roller of the sheet feeder is still rotating while the shutter is suspending the conveyance of the transfer sheet.
