ABSTRACT:
A sheet conveying apparatus having an excellent performance in jam recovery, and an image forming apparatus provided therewith is provided. The sheet conveying apparatus which may switch the conveying direction of a sheet has: a discharge switching member60; and a moving unit including a rod64and a solenoid63, which engage with the discharge switching member60and moves the discharge switching member60, in order to switch the conveying direction of a sheet. The discharge switching member60and the moving unit may disengage from each other.
