ABSTRACT:
This invention relates to the catalytic preparation of C.sub.2 to C.sub.4 alkyl amines by the reaction of a C.sub.2-4 alkanol with ammonia in the presence of hydrogen, the reaction being carried out utilizing a crystalline alumino-silicate catalyst system where the ions in the crystalline alumino-silicate catalyst system are predominately cobalt or nickel.
