ABSTRACT:
A shallow water moored buoy having an anchor retaining mechanism on a bot deck which automatically releases an anchor when the buoy strikes water. The buoy is filled with floatation material which encloses electronic and battery packages and has an antenna mounted on an upper deck and hydrophone sensors attached to a deployable anchor cable which is secured to the center of the bottom deck.
