ABSTRACT:
A service delivery unit for an enterprise network is provided. The service delivery unit includes at least one network interface port that is coupleable to a wide area network and at least one data port that is coupleable to a plurality of local area networks. The service delivery unit also includes a policy server interface that is coupleable to a policy server. The policy service includes policies for bandwidth allocation stored on a computer readable medium. The service delivery unit further includes a central processing unit that is communicatively coupled to the network interface port, the data port and the policy server interface. The central processing unit executes instructions to selectively allocate bandwidth in the wide area network for users of the plurality of local area networks based on the policies stored in the policy server.
