ABSTRACT:
The present invention is embodied in a separator sheet handling assembly10that includes a lifting assembly20adapted to receive a pallet12containing a stack of separator sheets14. The lifting assembly20positions the stack of separator sheets14into a predetermined location where a feed assembly30engages a separator sheet16positioned at the top of the stack of separator sheets14. The feed assembly30removes the separator sheet16and transports it to a test assembly50where the separator sheet16is monitored for a particular characteristic such as cleanliness or structural integrity. The separator sheet16is delivered to a first storage assembly60if the separator sheet16has the particular characteristic, or a second storage assembly70if the separator sheet16does not include the particular characteristic.
