ABSTRACT:
Hexane cannot be removed from hexane--vinyl acetate--methyl acrylate mixtures because of the ternary azeotrope. Hexane can be readily removed from hexane--vinyl acetate--methyl acrylate mixtures by extractive distillation. Typical effective agents are phenol, diethylene glycol methyl ether and 2-nitropropane.
