ABSTRACT:
A semiconductor light emitting unit is provided which comprises: a support1formed with longitudinal side walls15disposed opposite to each other for forming a pair of light reflective surfaces9,and a bottom wall16connected to longitudinal side walls15for forming a mount surface3abetween light reflective surfaces9to form a channel3by longitudinal side walls15and bottom wall16above mount surface3a.Formed at either end of channel3in the longitudinal direction of support1is a vertical opening18which serves to directly communicate channels3of adjacent light emitting units when plural semiconductor light emitting units are lengthwise arranged, so that there is no lateral side wall15obstructing path of light radiated from LED chips2toward outside to thereby irradiate uniform light to outside along the longitudinal direction of linear light source.
