ABSTRACT:
A semiconductor integrated circuit receives a first control signal and generates a second control signal which has a delay applied by a delay applying unit. The second control signal is synchronized with the first control signal by a phase synchronization process in the delay applying unit, and the second control signal is supplied to an object circuit. The phase synchronization process is carried out by synchronizing with a timing determined by delaying two or more periods of the first control signal. Therefore, the second control signal can be synchronized with the first control signal, even though a speed of the external signal is very high.
