ABSTRACT:
Conductive silicone elastomer compositions which cure under hot air vulcanization conditions are provided by formulating a vinylorganopolysiloxane gum, an organohydrogenpolysiloxane fluid, a conductive carbon black filler, a peroxide catalyst which is not normally capable of causing the composition to vulcanize in hot air and a small, effective amount of a catalyst comprising platinum or a platinum compound, in an amount which is less than that which will cause cross-linking in up to 24 hours at about 23.degree. C. but at least an amount sufficient to cause the composition to cure under hot air vulcanization conditions.
