ABSTRACT:
The head of a self-sharpening pencil is provided with a pair of pivotally disposed, cooperating abraders controlled by a pair of movable members. Means are provided for mechanically driving the graphite core against the abraders whereby the forward end of the graphite core is sharpened to a high degree before it is protruded for writing.
