ABSTRACT:
A media storage device for use in self service terminals (SSTs) is described. The storage device comprises a media storage container28including flexible fingers30protruding into the interior of the container, and a media loading assembly26including a movable plate44which can be operated to transfer media from the loading assembly26to the container28. The flexible fingers30serve to retain stored media in a compact and ordered arrangement, so improving storage efficiency. Embodiments of the invention may also include a scissor type arrangement of arms54in the loading assembly26, arranged to increase the effective stroke length of the movable plate44without increasing the required depth of the loading assembly.
