ABSTRACT:
An electronic apparatus is adapted for realizing desired functions by combining a number of functional devices, in which the trouble states of the functional devices may be identified speedily and positively by virtue of its self-diagnostic function. Control data are periodically transmitted from a system controller 41 connected over an I.sup.2 bus for operating the functional devices, such as a video processing circuit 33 or an audio processing circuit 37. The functional devices are checked for malfunctions at each control cycle of transmitting the control data from the system controller to the functional devices for collectively displaying the checked results of malfunctions of the functional devices during the self-diagnostic mode operation.
