ABSTRACT:
An easy-open container end includes a displacable panel defined by a score line having curved tails which is in parallel relationship with adjacent means for reinforcing, thereby reducing opening failures, while controlling tearing. A score die and anvil is further provided wherein a four bolt pattern provides greater resistance to distortion and more even mounting stress distribution, resulting in more even score line residuals and reduced opening failures.
