ABSTRACT:
The coefficient-of-friction of iron base alloys containing molybdenum is lowered by incorporation of sulphur or selenium. The wear resistance is greatly increased by adding carbon with little if any increase in the coefficient-of-friction. A method of preparation is disclosed.
