ABSTRACT:
A self-extinguishing room temperature vulcanizable silicone rubber composition comprising a silanol end-stopped diorganopolysiloxane polymer, a metal oxide filler, an alkoxy functional cross-linking agent, carbon black, platinum and a titanium chelate catalyst. For the optimum self-extinguishing one-component room temperature vulcanizable silicone rubber composition within the scope of the present invention, it is preferred that there be from 0.5 to 20 mole percent of phenyl content based on the base polysiloxane polymer and from .01 to 10 mole percent vinyl content based on the base polysiloxane polymer.
