A one-piece fastening element of synthetic material, comprising a head and a relatively rigid axial shank adapted to be inserted into the aperture of a workpiece. The shank is formed with two or several axial rows of flexible lamellar radial ribs formed integrally with the shank in circumferentially offset and axially spaced arrrangement.
