ABSTRACT:
A method of decreasing the intraocular pressure in the eye of an animal which comprises administering to the animal an intraocular pressure decreasing amount of a beta.sub.2 adrenergic receptor antagonist having a .beta..sub.2 /.beta..sub.1 potency ratio of at least 10. The method is particularly useful for the treatment of glaucoma in humans.
