ABSTRACT:
A counterfeit-resistant document comprises a validation mark with relief markings according to a unique pattern that identifies the source of the document. The source of the document can be identified by detecting the unique pattern on the validation mark of the document, thus verifying the authenticity of the document. The validation mark further comprises a unique chemical signature that identifies the source of the document.
