ABSTRACT:
Disclosed is a secondary battery having a terminal for surface mounting which includes a power generating element and a battery case for housing the power generating element. The power generating element includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and an organic electrolyte. The battery case includes a positive electrode can electrically connected with the positive electrode and a negative electrode can electrically connected with the negative electrode, and a gasket interposed between the positive electrode can and the negative electrode can. The organic electrolyte contains an organic solvent in which a solute is dissolved, and the organic solvent contains sulfolane and 1,2-dimethoxyethane. Amounts of the sulfolane and the 1,2-dimethoxyethane are 80 to 95 volume % and 5 to 20 volume %, respectively, with respect to the total amount of the sulfolane and the 1,2-dimethoxyethane. The organic electrolyte contains LiN(CF3SO2)2in 0.9 to 1.3 mol/L.
