ABSTRACT:
A wastewater treatment product prepared from seaweed and a process for the treatment of wastewater. In a first step, seaweed is mixed with a preservative, micro-nutrient, oxygen-containing, and antifungal component. In the second step, the product of the first step is then mixed with a humic acid additive along with an oxygen-based component and a lactobacillus/aloe component to achieve the final product. This final product is then spread over the surface of the wastewater in sufficient quantities to see a reduction in the BOD, TSS, ammonia, and phosphorus, while at the time minimizing the amount of sludge removal.
