ABSTRACT:
A seat belt retractor comprising a first emergency lock mechanism for locking a reel shaft around which a seat belt is wound and a second emergency lock mechanism for sandwiching and locking said seat belt drawn out from the reel shaft by a rotatable member which pivots on one of its ends. The rotatable member has a deformable portion which is deformed so that the distance from the center of rotation to the sandwiching face of the seat belt may be shortened.
