ABSTRACT:
A sealing arrangement between annular components2, 4, for example in a gas turbine engine, comprises an L-shaped sealing ring20. The sealing ring20has a first limb24received in a groove28in the first component2, and a second limb26having a sealing face30which is maintained in contact with an abutment surface32on the second component4under the resilient action of the sealing ring20. The second limb26is exposed to the pressure in a chamber34which assists the resilience of the sealing ring20in maintaining sealing contact between the sealing face30and the abutment surface32. Bleed holes38are provided.
