ABSTRACT:
A solid waste material comminuting system havingdelete-start id="DEL-S-00001" date="20071225" ?adelete-end id="DEL-S-00001" ?insert-start id="INS-S-00001" date="20071225" ?aninsert-end id="INS-S-00001" ?electric motor for providing rotary motion, a pair of cutter stacks with cutter elements of one stack interleaved with cutter elements of the other, and gear means to transmit the rotary motion of the electric motor to counter-rotate cutter elements of one stack with cutter elements of the other. Each of the cutter stacks comprises a central shaft journaled for rotation and ainsert-start id="INS-S-00002" date="20071225" ?seal-insert-end id="INS-S-00002" ?bearinginsert-start id="INS-S-00003" date="20071225" ?assembly/insert-end id="INS-S-00003" ?module at each end of the central shafts. Eachdelete-start id="DEL-S-00002" date="20071225" ?bearingdelete-end id="DEL-S-00002" ?insert-start id="INS-S-00004" date="20071225" ?assembly/insert-end id="INS-S-00004" ?module comprises an end housing, and a pair of insertable pre-assembledinsert-start id="INS-S-00005" date="20071225" ?seal-insert-end id="INS-S-00005" ?bearinginsert-start id="INS-S-00006" date="20071225" ?elements/insert-end id="INS-S-00006" ?assemblies mountable in each of said end housings. Oneinsert-start id="INS-S-00007" date="20071225" ?seal-insert-end id="INS-S-00007" ?bearinginsert-start id="INS-S-00008" date="20071225" ?element/insert-end id="INS-S-00008" ?assembly has a thru-hole for journaling a first shaft for rotation and a secondinsert-start id="INS-S-00009" date="20071225" ?seal-insert-end id="INS-S-00009" ?bearinginsert-start id="INS-S-00010" date="20071225" ?element/insert-end id="INS-S-00010" ?assembly has a thru-hole for journaling a second shaft for rotation.
